Gateway to Kananaskis

The Teahouse at Lake Louise
This is one of the most popular hikes in the Rockies. Starting from the lake which is, after Niagara Falls, the most popular tourist attraction in Canada, the trail climbs through forest to a couple of teal blue subalpine lakes. They are pristine jewels of the Rockies. After a couple of hours hiking you arrive at the Lake Agnes Teahouse where home-baked buscuits and refreshments are available. The teahouse was originally built here in 1925. Stunning views of the lake and the Bow valley mark the trail.
