Lake Mary Shäffer was guided to this lake by Stoney natives in 1908. She was an extraordinary adventurer, riding side-saddle for weeks to discover this awesomely beautiful lake, the largest in the Canadian Rockies at 22 km in length and 97 m (318 ft) deep. Scenic boat tours run through the summer. |
