Icefield - Athabaska Glacier The icefield covers an area of 325 square kilometres (125 sq. mi.) at an average elevation of 3000 m (9,800 ft). Its maximum depth is 365 m (1,200 ft). This photo shows the toe of the Athabaska Glacier which you can explore on foot or by purchasing a ride on specially designed Snowcoach buses. |
